views and speaking about world issues, as I think everyone should form there own opinions based on facts and personal beliefs. Plus this is a music site, so why not stay on topic right? I’ll give it a whirl, while fitting music into my every day life.
My life, the past few months, has been extremely different. It’s the first time that I can remember that I haven’t worked and it’s an odd feeling. I’ve always worked doing something or other since I can remember. I don’t know what to do with myself. Actually I do...search for another job. While I do my research for jobs and email every single person on the planet trying to find an in at every company I find interesting, something has to be playing in the background. It’s amazing how much music the day can hold and how much you need to find new music. If you’re not too opposed, I’d like to share a few artists with you and how they fit into my day. Here goes...
The day starts around 8:00 AM. Yes I’m old and can’t sleep in anymore. My dog sleeps later than I do for goodness sakes. Anyways, I usually hit the computer and put on something mellow while I wake up, check email, and hit some news/sports sites. My beloved Patriots are one game away from perfection after all. I’ve been listening to Joe Purdy the last few weeks. He’s a folky guy that sounds a bit like a back country Ben Harper. I’m partial to his album Julie Blue. All the songs are good and I’d like to thing have good lyrics. I mean who doesn’t like the rain the most when it stops? His music makes me remember different times in my life. Usually the fishing trip I take with my dad, brothers, and a few friends every September. It makes me think of the sun coming up over the lake as I cast out over the calm pristine water trying not to smell my own stale beer breath from one too many the night before. Moving back to the album, my favorites are Whiskey and fish, I love the rain the most, and washed away.
That’s all I’ve got time for right now. Well I’ve got time, but I don’t feel like typing any more. As I’m inspired I’ll come back and fill you in on the rest of my daily routine.
God bless our troops and loved ones!
