Colin Hay's concert at the Brattle Theater in Cambridge last week was a great time. He's got a great voice, great picking and a great personality. If he couldn't sing and play, you'd still want to listen to his stories. His wife Cecelia Noel added some hot vocals. Lazlo Bain opened for him, and they were a nice surprise. Quirky, classy, real. I want to hear more of local Boston band Meet the Day. They performed all acoustic with three guitars, but I understand they have two percussionists. Check out any of these if you get the chance. |
