I’m back... ready to bring the blogging funk. Back to my routine of musical deliciousness.
As the day progresses and I’ve gotten my daily workout in I’m more pumped up and need to keep the groove going. If I’m going to make it though the day, I’ve got to keep exciting right. I went through an old school faze last week and busted out some DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. You know the album with Parents Just Don’t Understand on it. I’ve been skipping the old popular songs and going with some others; like, Here We Go Again, Brand New Funk, and Time to Chill. Go back into your old collection and try them out again. They’re still legit. Well, they keep me going anyway. I’ve also been blasting out some Motet. For those that don’t know the Motet, they are a Boulder, CO based band that label themselves “Electric Americubafrican Groove!” In fact Arts & Entertainment in Flagstaff, AZ said, “How can anyone relax with this monstrous jazzfunkafrocubanic sensation from Boulder, Colorado tearing the ceiling out with its soulful ruminations and all-out percussion free-for-all?” If that doesn’t convince you that the Motet brings it, I don’t know what will. A few of my favorites are Osain, Obatala, and Sunu.
You’ve been blogged.
